Dear Bob

What is MDF? I found it other label of some moldings I just bought.

Dear GAL

MDF is a waste wood board maybe by mixing sawdust with adhesives. It is fairly stable but when it gets wet it will swell and become unstable. Its ok for moldings, shelves and it takes paint well. But there is pretty much no strength to it.
