*Plunging a Toilet*Every homeowner should invest in a good plunger!!! It's a dirty job but someone has to do it.
Quickly pull up on the plunger handle to suck the blockage free; You may have to do this several times. It is best to suck the blockage out of the toilet instead of trying to push it through. If you push it through you may cause a blockage further down the line that will be much more difficult to remove. For real tough clogs a flexible snake may pry the clog loose. Crank the handle on the snake to force the flexible cable through clog. I try my best
not to use chemical formulas to dissolve clogs. These products can cause
additional damage to fixtures and pipes further down the waste line.
