*Installing Slider Doors*

Sliding doors are usually used for interior closets but are sometimes found on garages and sheds. Basic hardware kits for sliding doors include an overhead track, two pairs of hinges with wheels that glide in the track, and door guides that fasten to the floor. Heavy, high quality doors often come with an additional track for the bottom of the door in the.

INSTALLING SLIDER DOORS

Frame the door opening with side and head jambs. Measure the opening and cut the overhead track to fit the opening. Attach the track in the middle of the head jamb with fasteners provided.

Mount a pair of wheels on the top of the doors. Some systems use different wheels for the front and the rear door so make sure you have the correct wheels on each door.

Hang the inside doors first, outside second, making sure the doors roll freely.

Make sure doors are hanging straight up and down, and attach the guides and/or bottom track with fasteners provided. Door should meet the sideframe evenly. If they don't, loosen theadjusting screw on the upper wheel assembly and adjust higher or lower as needed, and retighten.

.

Molding should be added around the door. You can also conceal the upper track with a piece of molding if necessary
