*Clamps*

My clamps are as close to having a third hand as I will ever get. When I am working alone on a project I can feel secure that my work is not going to move on me and possibly ruin the job or injure myself.
A clamp is a fastening device designed to hold or secure objects tightly together to prevent movement or separation through the application of inward pressure.

There are many types of clamps available for many different purposes. Some are temporary, as used to position components while fixing them together, these clamps (or cramps) are used to position components temporarily for various tasks (see picture for some examples

A bar clamp or sliding clamp hold things together or to a fixed object such as a work bench.

C -clamp (also G-clamp)

Handscrew or Jorgansen clamp

There are probably a hundred different clamps that have many uses but I carry these with me all the time and rarely have they let me down!
